Invoking women in finance profession to lead with purpose — fuelling India's next wave of financial leaders. Because the talent exists. The pipeline must convert.
Born into a family where conversations about trade and enterprise shaped my early world — always fascinated by real numbers and real money, not just equations in textbooks.
Yet I simply wasn't the star student. For years I had no clear career path. A post-graduation degree, got married, and soon found myself in the midst of an identity crisis. I questioned who I was and what I was meant to do.
I deeply felt I wanted to be something, but I had no idea what that looked like. In search of a purpose, I started to teach and guide CA Foundation students. Teaching gave me joy, but deep inside, I knew I was capable of more.
It wasn't until I hit rock bottom — completely burnt out and broken — that I finally decided to make some changes. Then, motherhood changed everything.
At 29, I made the bold decision to pursue Chartered Accountancy (ICAI). That was the choice which transformed my life — reclaiming my identity, proving my resilience, stepping into the career I was destined for.
Over three decades I climbed the ranks — CFO at Sandvik Asia, NRB Bearings, and Executive Director Finance & CIO at Bridgestone India. Today I stand committed to empowering women in finance — giving them the wings to fly.
Recognised as the Best Female CFO in India in 2012 by Business Times — presented by the then Finance Minister, the Honourable Pranab Mukherjee.
"The only woman on the prestigious list — reflecting the industry's commencement to acceptance of female CFOs."
This recognition was not just an award. It was a signal — that women belong at the highest levels of Indian finance, and that the barriers can and must be broken.
From Offices to C Suites to Boardrooms of SKF Bearings, NRB Bearings, Sandvik Asia and Bridgestone India to international recognition — a career built on breaking barriers and building others up.
Reflections, research, and real talk on what it takes to build India's next generation of women finance leaders — from someone who lived it.
Mid-career women who are technically excellent but find the path to CFO unclear, unsupported, or blocked.
Senior leaders who want to build genuine pipeline depth and support women into finance leadership — with structure and outcomes.
You are a mid-to-senior finance professional — a Controller, VP Finance, or Director Finance — with 12–20 years of experience. You are technically excellent. You are trusted. And you know, somewhere, that you are ready for more. What's missing is not capability. It's the language, the visibility, and the strategic positioning that takes you from the room to the table.

It is rare to come across someone who combines sharp financial acumen with genuine humility and empathy, but that is exactly what defines Jyotsna. Over the years, I have had the privilege of knowing her not just as an accomplished CFO and respected industry leader, but also as a dear friend and trusted guide. Her ability to navigate complex business situations with clarity, composure, and strategic insight is truly admirable. Equally impressive is the way she mentors and supports people around her with sincerity and generosity. What sets Jyotsna apart is not only her professional excellence, but also the integrity and balance she brings into every interaction. In an industry driven by numbers, she never loses sight of people and relationships. I have personally learned a great deal from her perspective, leadership style, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Any organization or team associated with her is undoubtedly stronger because of her presence.
Jyotsna's mentorship has been truly transformational in my professional journey. Her guidance empowered me to embrace challenges with confidence, resilience, and strategic clarity. Under her mentorship, I learned to sustain in demanding environments and consistently prove my capabilities with impact. Transitioning across functions from finance, IT to business strengthened my business acumen and cross-functional perspective. She has an exceptional ability to inspire self-belief, elevate potential, and encourage continuous growth. I truly feel fortunate and blessed to have had her as a mentor and coach.
Jyotsna's mentorship has been invaluable in helping me better understand the often unspoken realities of the finance ecosystem and approach challenges with greater perspective and strategic clarity. Her guidance has strengthened my communication style, sharpened my ability to navigate corporate environments thoughtfully, and encouraged continual self-awareness and growth.
I am incredibly grateful to Jyotsna ma'am for her exceptional guidance and unwavering support. From day one, she took a genuine interest in my development. Beyond helping me navigate workplace challenges, she consistently pushed me to achieve my absolute best and truly unlocked my potential. Her profound insights and encouragement transformed my career trajectory, helping me map out a clear path aligned with my long-term goals. Learning from the grace and compassion she brings to difficult situations is something I strive to practice daily. She made an excellent coach and mentor through my journey.
Jyotsna's coaching changed how I show up in rooms where decisions are made. I used to wait to be invited to speak. Now I know how to own the conversation without losing my authenticity.
The INVOKE™ model gave me a language for what I was missing — it wasn't about competence, it was about identity, visibility, and sponsorship. Jyotsna helped me crack the code to the CFO role.
Working with Jyotsna helped me stop apologising for being technically strong and start owning the strategic lens. I got my first CFO appointment within a year of our engagement.
Her ability to see both the systemic and the personal barriers — and hold both with compassion — made this the most impactful coaching I've experienced in 20 years of corporate life.
